Last night’s trek down to the city for the latest KGB Fantastic Fiction reading (and associated festivities) was definitely worth it, though I could have done without the getting home at 3am part. It was great to see Ekaterina Sedia’s (aka squirrel_monkey) first reading ever, and Jack O’Connell was very cool as well. You should buy his new book! It was also nice to see people like maryrobinette again, and to meet the many new people that I was introduced too.
Now if I could just remember where I left my brain….
Your brain is probably hanging out where my brain was yesterday.
I was in NYC all day, finished what I was doing around 7, and then went home COMPLETELY FORGETTING about this event, as well as the big show one of my friends was doing at The Bitter End.
Oh well. I did need the sleep more, but still … dammit!!!
Doh! The reading part of things at KGB was probably done by around 8:30. It was the traditional hanging out at the Chinese restaurant part afterwards that resulted in us being on the 11:10 train out.
I hope at least you actually slept!
