I am now registered for Worldcon 2009 in Montreal! The full membership rate of 215 CAD via Paypal was about 181 USD, but rates go up Jan 1st.
So, who else is going?
And who among you wants to buy me a drink? 😉 [ETA: At Worldcon!]

Sure, what are you up to next weekend?

Murderous rampa….err….I mean…nuthin’.
Mmm. We were planning on going, but right now… it’s all up in the air.
Stupid economy.
One of the reasons I’m going to Worldcon instead of World Fantasy next year is because it’s a 5 hour drive vs. paying for a cross-country flight to San Jose (plus I’d just as soon avoid the air travel hassle anyway).
Sadly, not me, since it’s in Canada. I should be at Readercon though, and will buy you a drink then!
Well, I can hardly complain about that!
I’m going. And I’ll buy you a drink. If you dance for me.
Hmm….I suppose it would depend on how many drinks I’d had before the one you bought me. ;P
This is one of those times when I hate the not-knowing-what’s-going-to-happen-until-it-does part of my job. I really really want to go, but I won’t know if I can until, um, August. Sigh.
Maybe you could convince your evil (if talented) boss that you deserve that long weekend off. Or convince her that she really oughta go to Worldcon….though that seems less likely.
Well, considering I have to convince her that I already need two long weekends off at the height of summer festival season (one graduation, one wedding), I’m hesitant to push my luck. :} But we’ll see…
It is on the maybe list. We’d like to, but don’t know yet.
Well, I hope you make it, and that if you do we actually run into each other at some point.
